Creating Your First Course

Open the Course Builder

Go to Xtreme Courses > Add New. You will land in the React-powered course builder, which is split into three tabs: Details, Curriculum, and Settings.

Fill In Course Details

On the Details tab:

• Title — Give your course a clear, searchable name (e.g., "WordPress Fundamentals").
• Description — Write a compelling overview. This is what potential students see on the catalog page.
• Featured Image — Upload a thumbnail (recommended size: 800 x 450 px).
• Category — Assign one or more course categories to help students filter the catalog.

Build the Curriculum

Switch to the Curriculum tab:

1. Click Add Section to create a module (e.g., "Module 1 — Getting Started").
2. Inside the section, click Add Lesson and choose the lesson type: text, video, or quiz.
3. Drag lessons to reorder them within a section, or drag entire sections to rearrange modules.

You can add as many sections and lessons as you need. Each lesson has its own content editor, so you can embed videos, upload files, and format text with the block editor.

Configure Course Settings

On the Settings tab:

• Access — Choose open enrollment or restrict to specific user roles.
• Duration — Optionally set an estimated completion time.
• Certificate — Enable or disable the completion certificate for this course.
• Drip Content — Schedule lessons to unlock on specific dates or after the student completes the previous lesson.

Publish

Click Publish in the top-right corner. Your course now appears in the catalog and is ready for enrollment.
