Course Certificates
Enabling Certificates
Certificates can be toggled globally or per course:
- Global setting: Go to Xtreme Courses > Settings > Certificates and check Enable completion certificates.
- Per-course override: In the course builder, open the Settings tab and toggle the certificate switch.
When enabled, students who complete 100% of the course (or pass all required quizzes) automatically receive a downloadable PDF certificate.
Customizing the Template
Navigate to Xtreme Courses > Settings > Certificates to customize the default template:
- Background — Upload a custom background image (recommended: 1920 x 1358 px, landscape orientation).
- Logo — Place your organization logo on the certificate.
- Title text — Change the certificate heading (default: "Certificate of Completion").
- Body text — Use merge tags like
{student_name},{course_title},{completion_date}, and{certificate_id}to personalize the content. - Signature — Upload a signature image or type a name for an auto-generated signature line.
- Colors and fonts — Match your brand with custom color pickers and Google Fonts selection.
Certificate Verification
Every certificate includes a unique verification ID and a QR code. Anyone can visit your site's verification page and enter the certificate ID to confirm its authenticity. This is particularly valuable for professional training and compliance courses.
Revoking or Reissuing
From the Enrollments panel, click on a student's record and use the Certificate tab to:
- Revoke — Invalidate a previously issued certificate (the verification page will show it as revoked).
- Reissue — Generate a new certificate with a fresh ID, useful if the student's name was misspelled or the course title changed.
