Form Notifications & Confirmations

Admin Email Notifications

When someone submits a form, Xtreme Forms can send an email to one or more administrators.

Setting Up Notifications

  1. Open your form in the builder and click the Settings tab.
  2. Go to Notifications and click Add Notification.
  3. Configure the fields:

- Send To — Enter one or more email addresses, separated by commas.

- Subject — Use merge tags like {field:name} to personalize (e.g., "New inquiry from {field:name}").

- Reply-To — Set this to {field:email} so you can reply directly to the submitter.

- Message Body — Use {all_fields} to include every submitted value, or reference specific fields.

Conditional Notifications

You can create multiple notifications with conditions. For example, route billing questions to the finance team and technical questions to support by adding a condition based on a dropdown field value.

User Confirmation Messages

After a visitor submits the form, you control what they see:

On-Screen Confirmation

Go to Settings > Confirmation and choose Message. Write a thank-you message that replaces the form after submission. Supports HTML and merge tags.

Redirect

Choose Redirect and enter a URL. The visitor is sent to a custom thank-you page, a download link, or any other page on your site.

Confirmation Email

Add a notification where the Send To field uses the {field:email} merge tag. This sends an auto-reply to the person who submitted the form. Include details like their submission summary or next steps.

Testing Notifications

Before going live, submit a test entry and verify that all emails arrive correctly. Check your spam folder if emails are missing, and consider using a transactional email service like Xtreme SendGrid for reliable delivery.
